This is just a space where I will write about the more personal things that I think about or am feeling. Unlike my other blog, Jazzy's Notebook, this isn't something I want to share with the whole world. So why blog about it right? Well, for my entire life I always kept journals. Wrote about my feeling and thoughts and experiences. Then, 2 of the closest people to me, read them, at different points in my life. I do not regret them reading it now. At the time I was so mad I threw all of my journals away. Years of writing gone. So, I turned to blogging. Here it is forever and I can share it or keep it private. Yes, I have random thoughts. I write about books, movies, gardening or whatever else comes to mind on my other blog. If you want light-hearted and easy going, check that one out. Here, I will share my deeper thoughts that are not all pink and easy. I usually keep the deep thoughts inside. I'd like to let them out. So here goes.

Friday: I really did not feel like working out. I spent the entire day cleaning out my closet and the entire house. But then I went out to dinner and ate too much. When I got home I did the bike for 30 min with a 30lb backpack. Did a few deadlifts and like 100 jumping jax.
OHH Weigh in day: -1lb, -0.5" belly button, -0.5" high waist, -1" hips, thighs, shoulders, same for arm and neck.

Saturday: I had a busy day planned. I went to Boston with my bridesmaids to look for dresses. Before we left I did 3 rounds of squats and push press. While in Boston we walked 6-7 miles! I didn't think to turn my watch on until after the first hour of walking. It was an awesome day.

Sunday: I'm still tired from the weekend. Today's workout was pretty simple. 1 lap around the indoor track as my warmup. Then walking lunges one lap. Every time I stopped I did 10 pushups. Yeah, not fun at all. LOL. I stopped 15 times = 150 pushups It took me 29 minutes.

I know I haven't written every night. I'm just so tired I've gone to bed early. I'll be back on my normal schedule next week. Anywhoodles, here is what I've been up to.

Wednesday WOD:
50 Burpees am
5k row in the afternoon - rowing was not a new time or anything. I feel like I'm getting back into the swing of things after being out with my teeth, eating less and just bumping up the intensity.

Thursday WOD:
30 burpees am
lunchtime: run 1 mile, 5 burpees, 10 lunges, 15 squats, 20 singles- 5rft-12:30, then walk/run .50 mile back to work
evening : 25 min on my spin bike going HAM listening to empowering chic music-Don't underestimate the power of good chic music! :)
3 sets of 10 deadlifts at 80lbs
an attempt at rows at that weight
1 min plank hold, rest 30 seconds, then 30 sec plank hold

FYI- I'm all about the high intensity cardio. I have a heart rate watch, although it is primarily for running, I use it for all my cardio. I'm not sure if it accurately calculates the calories burned when I do that but... I like my intensity to be up around 180 (heart rate). Go hard or go home.  Then again it is not like I'm at that heart rate for an hour. It is intervals, sprints, and things like that.

I did my WOD (burpees, lunges, squats, singles on the football field!

Morning Workout:

Afternoon Workout:
Run 1 mile 12 min
Jacobs Ladder 8 min
My new watch! TomTom Run Watch. Heart rate monitor right on the watch itself.

Today I felt good. A few days ago I was feeling a little frustrated. I want to see more results. I know it takes time. I know that it is not just about the results. I know this. I just can't help the thoughts sometimes. I did notice today my squats were easier. I am not dead after doing 60 lunges or 140 squats. My running is becoming easier and faster. These are good things. Keeps me going. The rest will come in time. It has only been 40 days. I just have to keep reminding myself to trust the process. :)

Tired

Normally Friday is my day off of work. For August though I have to go in from 9-5. Not to mention my normal work schedule is either 2-10 or 12-8. I was soooooo tired today. Tomorrow is my weigh in day and I was hoping to use my spin bike tonight but that is not happening. I need some rest.

Lunchtime Workout:
Walk 1.75 miles
100 lunges
a few rounds up the stairs & bleachers

Sunday was truly a rest day. I did nothing! It is not good to beat your body up without a break. I did buy some exercise equipment this day to get the week started in the right direction. I also spoke with someone who inspires me and it just made me feel really good.

Monday
morning workout:
21-15-9
squats
pushups
lunges
12:44
Have I ever told you how much I hate lunges!?!
7 app workout (7 min)
50 situps
30 pullups

evening workout:
25 min on the bike 175 cal burned
11 min on treadmill 125 cal burned

This was at work today! I did not have one tiny bite! I don't have time to be messing around with donuts. Friday & Saturday I ate breakfast out and had a pancake with syrup. I felt so crappy after that. Today, while I was running, I felt GREAT. Let's keep this going!

OHH! Download this free app called 7 (seven) This is what it looks like. It gives you a full body workout in 7 minutes. You can do it for longer if you'd like. I did feel the burn after 7 minutes especially since I did it after my workout.
